All I know is that i had a different experience this year, a happy one of course.
CNY has unofficially ended (officially ends on Feb 17).
This year i've been observing around...
The people, the sale...the clothes people wear, even the songs.
I realized that the songs are getting better...
Well at least we would hum together somehow even though we might not like it that much. xD
The shopping sale? WOW the sale...thanks to the CNY sale i manage to get a few clothes my own.
I also realized that CNY has become a fashion show.
Doesnt matter what colour you wear, as long as you can show the best of you.
Dont you think people try to look their best every time they visit during CNY??
I do, in fact im one of them. =)
10 years from now, China might even have CNY cat walk shows =O
You know what are the few best parts on CNY?
Not the clothes, not the sale...Yes to the food! xD
And of course, something I see that made me felt the warmth.
We all know is important for families to gather for dinner on CNY eve.
But I dont think that's the time to bond...
The time to bond is before CNY, when children need to help their parents.
Buy the ingredients, buy the drinks, buy the junk food...
Everything that parents have no strength to hold, us children need to carry.
It is special, is not just grocery shopping!
Children would get up early in the morning just to go to the market with their mum!
They get to talk, chit chat a little...
Parents might even pro-long the grocery shopping time,
Just hoping that their children would talk more, sleep less and help more too xD
In the end the food is just a result of after-bonding time. =P
Another best part is when your relatives visit.
Okay, maybe you dont talk to them or you dont even understand what language they're speaking.
But, dont you think you are understanding your family root?
Is not just the ang pau, or communicating...
We gather every year because we should remember!
Remember our roots, our relatives' faces (in case you forget)
Remember how we all came about.
Some of us might even only meet once a year!
So we all should cherish it while we can...
A different experience for me this year,
I followed my another half back to his hometown - Mentakab, Pahang this year.
No fancy bed rooms or bathrooms (heater doesnt work properly ><)...
But I felt their hospitality.
What more can I say? They all fed me well for two whole days! =D
I also met some of his friends...
They were, funny...likes to gamble =..="
And most of them moved out, but is great to go back and meet some old friends there =)
I loved the place. It was quiet (except the motor sounds).
There were stars and trees everywhere (mosquitoes too ><)...
Peaceful is the word to describe it. =)
Almost forgot to mention I have successfully sold my Camera body and lenses.
Gonna get my Canon 5D Mark II very soon!
Im so excited! So many things to learn -_-
Of course dont forget im getting another tatt on Thursday!
Thrilled for that!!! Cant believe im doing it again...
Cant wait for both of it be in/on my hands!!! =D =D
